AppleWorks GS 1.1

Hello,

I have been helping someone who is trying to add a field to an existing 
AWGS database.  The field is added to the end of the record, which is not 
where we want it.

I have been able to acomplish this through converting the file to 
AppleWorks Classisc, using mail merge, recreating the file from a mail 
merge doccument, an opening it with AppleWorks GS 1.1 in seven ugly steps.

Can I do this entirely within AppleWorks GS?
