This writer is also in his sixties and agrees with your father's conclusion
that Appleworks is the last word in personal convenience!

Use the printer option PN to set the starting page of a document. For long
documents that extend over several files this command is useful.  To find out
the page number to start with use oa-K to calculate the pages for the first
file and jump to the end to find the final page number.  Then add the
appropriate next number as the starting number for the second file.

These comments apply to Awks v3., - I have had no experience with version 4 as
yet.  Your Dad and I will probably be still using Awks into our 80's!
