No, MultiScribe is ProDOS-based (ProDOS 8, of course). I have v2.00A
running right now on my //c.
Version 2.00A has the ability to save a file as ASCII text (File Menu,
select "Save As...", click "ASCII text" at bottom of box (or use
arrows on keyboard to get to the buttons if you don't have a mouse, and
space to select).

If you don't have a GS, you can connect the Apple II to the Mac using a
null-modem cable and transfer the file with a comm program. Use a standard
ASCII transfer (aka text capture) and tell the Mac to ignore the eighth
bit (aka high bit) of the incoming data.
