Re: NoisTracker 1.40 Upload

Ian Schmidt (irsman@iastate.edu) screamed from comp.sys.apple2:

: Untrue. NoiseTracker 1.1 has several real code changes and functionality
: enhancements, although I won't vouch for the 1WSW versions 1.2, 1.3, and 1.4.

Yes... (you tell 'em Ian!) That's right. The biggest change in 1.4 is the
ability to save instruments properly as IFF. Before, it would save them in
some oddball way which Noisetracker itself couldn't recognize. Makes it
easier for grabbing sounds quickly from other modules, but that's it. Not
much of a change, I know.
I also just realized how similar NT Mod Player (on the NT1.4 disk) is to
ModZAP 0.9b4. Just design and functionality - how it comes up with a full
screen "MOD Control Station" and goes to black when playing the song (ie
couldn't use the keyboard and had no scrolly player... eh who knows. reminds
me when I used to do C64 BBS graphics and how I was screaming at someone who
claimed they didn't rip one of my portraits, even though I was swapping
pages and the only parts of the images that changed were hair and
backgrounds, THAT'S how sloppy they were. [sigh]). Wierder things have
happened.
