The manuals I recommend are Beneath Apple ProDOS and the ProDOS 8 Technical
Reference Manual. Each has a good deal of info about the structure of ProDOS
volumes. They will also tell you that there is no such thing as an RWTS
routine in the operating system (unless you count the built in driver for
Disk II devices). You will also want to get hold of all the ProDOS 8 tech
notes for up-to-date info.
