computer eyes

Recently picked up a computer eyes digitizing board for the GS
and have problems getting it to run. It seems to do everything
(process old images et. al.) OK however when one tries to
capture a new image one gets an error message displayed that
says something to the effect (it is up for less than a second, then
has to rebott to do anything at all!) of error program bug or less
likely bad RAM.

Are there any known things that can solve this or cause it?
Also does anyone know if the compant that made it Digital
Vision is still around and what the last version of the software
is?
