Incider/A+
I got a new Mac IIvx at Apple's auction in December, and on the
registration card I had my choice of free gift: an Apple pen, a six month
subscription to MacWorld, a six month subscription to Incider/A+, or an
Apple mousepad. After two weeks of thinking, I figured the Incider/A+
would be best - a nice way to keep up on the platform I was moving from
(my //c). Besides, I already had a MacWorld subscription that wasn't due
to run out for two years, I always lose pens and pencils, and mousepads I
have a plenty. I waited. And waited. I can now infer that the magazine
is finished? First it went from being perfect bound to stapled, from
having a booth at MacWorld Expo Boston to dissapearing from almost every
newstand, from having the occasional programming article (although it
never compared to Nibble) to mostly reviews and editorials. I should have
guessed. I just don't have a sense of timing, do I? I wish Apple had
told me. Maybe the person who records the warranty cards was so shocked
seeing a Mac owner request an Apple II magazine that they went into cardiac
arrest. Should I call Apple and complain? And exactly what Apple II
publications (both paper and electronic) are left anyhow?
Apple II Forever... sorta
