The one thing which *REALLY* ticks me off about ProTERM v3.1 *AND*
did in v2.1 was the fact that the input-areas don't scroll when
you input more than however many chars it supports.
This *SUCKS* when it comes to modem initialization codes. I know
of init codes which run almost -2- lines long for setup... ProTERM
v3.1's little "Init: | |" box
in the "Installation" (so to speak) thing is too short. Either it
should be 2 lines high (the 2nd line appended to the first), or
it should support scrolling, both left and right. This would be
truly cool, and it would allow people to input (for an example
in my case) longer initialization strings. Due to ProTERMs' Init
string length limit, I have to use "ATZ", which really sucks
due to the fact that whenever I modify my init code, I have to
do an AT&W0 everytime I want for it to work... This I really
don't like. :-( ProTERM still gets two thumbs up from me thou;
very awesome and fast communications program. I wish the ANSI
character emulation set was customizable; some of those trans-
lated characters just look so evil. :-)
