Legend S card

A friend recently gave me a peripheral card that appears to be a
Legend 'S' card. It appears to be a 256K RAM card of some kind.
It fits in an ordinary Apple ][ expansion slot.

I have no documentation for it. I presume it's primarily used as
a RAM disk. If so, will ProDOS recognize it or is it limited to
DOS 3.3?

Was there any special software with this card? If so, does anyone out
there still have some?

I plan to check the card out (as much as I can) this weekend. If I can
determine that it's functional, I'd like to try writing a PCPI AppliCard
(CardZ180) driver to use it as a RAMDisk. For that, I'll need some
information about how to read and write to the card, check status bits
(if any), and so forth.

Thanks for any light anyone can shed on this device.
