I have had METAL working on a IIC.

Perhaps you should refer your problems to alt.bbs.metal and allow all the
Sysadmins and Programmers there to help you.

There are lots of people who run METAL on a IIC. It's a little slow, and you
need at least an 800K disk drive, but it -DOES- work fine.
