GEnie users: Please help.

I am interested in getting an account at GEnie, however I live in Mexico,
not the USA, and I don't know how to access this service from there.
 I asked this to the GEnie staff and they told me I would have to
contact my local phone company for that..:/
I wonder if it is possible to search in a member database any users
that are from this country, and someone could do this for me
and e-mail me the user ids of anyone who could be found, so I can
contact them and ask about this..??
That would be GREATLY appreciated!
