There are several things that can cause the bouncing problem. Most of them are
related to the vertical output transistor. 'Thumping' the monitor can cause
lots of Bad Things to happen (like loosening connectors or knocking the
phospher mask out 'o whack). I would suggest checking the solder connections
on the main board. If you are nervous about working with monitors, take it to
a TV shop... Please be VERY careful because of the high anode voltage, etc.
