   Try adjusting the v-hold knob in back until it stabilizes. I know
that on mine, if the h-posn knob is too far right, the screen really
isn't readable at all (rather random) when I turn on the monitor until
I slammed it around for a bit, but adjusting the h-posn worked fine
for me.
