Re: Apple //e emulation for Macintosh?
Yes, its true that there is no Apple IIe emulation board for any Mac other
than the LC series (its an '020 processor direct card). I've used it
quite extensively, and its well done (offers a disk drive port and
joystick port on the back, uses the LC hardware for everything else). Here's
what I know about Apple II software emulators: I have "][ in a Mac" version
2.53 (1988), which I am running on my IIvx and it works well
especially considering its age (at about the speed of a 1.5Mhz IIe - should
be two to three times faster on a Centris 650, if you want a full report, I
can e-mail); there is also an old emulator somebody mentioned called
"Mac+II" which I know nothing about; and one person said here a short while
ago that they are working on an emulator, are almost done and will release
a beta in 1 to 2 months (somebody else is also working on an emulator). As
for getting any of these programs, I have been told the following about the
company which made ][ in a Mac (in the following order):
1) It still exists
2) Somebody spoke to the president, and he said the programmer left and ][
in a Mac will not be updated
3) Somebody bought the progra[Am from them a couple of months ago
4) Their number has been disconnected
Well, I haven't had the time to call, but here's all the info I have:

I was also told the same company did an emulator for the IBM, and there is
a newsgroup called alt.emulators.ibmpc.apple2, which I have yet to check out.
Hope this helps and good luck!
