MS-DOS is still limited to 8+3...

On the flip side, an absolute newbie with just a modem and a simple
terminal program with XModem or Kermit can download a self-extracting
version of PKZIP and go from there. We have to fiddle with Binary II,
or changing the file/auxtype (which isn't the most obvious thing a
newbie would do), or using Executioner format, or whatever.
