Apple ][+ and monitor /// problems

	We (it belongs to someone in our lab) have an Apple ][+ with a
monitor /// and two disk ]['s. I am unfamiliar with Apple ]['s and
need some help getting this (@#$*( monitor to work. For one thing, all
it gives me is text garbage when I turn on the machine. There is a
video card of sorts in the computer itself, but there is no difference
between it and the standard video port, as far as I can tell with the
gibberish I'm getting. Removing it made no difference. Using it made
no difference. Gibberish.

	If anyone can help, or needs more info on the problem so help
