Proterm

Hello,
I've just wandered back into the world of Apple ][ communications after
using my 386 for a couple years.  I do enjoy trying to make limited
hardware do the things I want.  I'm wondering about com programs that would
work with the array of Apple ]['s I have started to collect.

I am currently using Ascii Express Pro on an unenhanced 2e going to a hayes
compatible 2400 baud modem.  Ae is o.k., other than I would like to be able
to use some other protocol than xmodem (like zmodem).

I have a ][c and ][ plus that I also plan to put on line to toy with.  I
think that the ][+ faces the same problems as the unenhanced ][e for newer
com programs.

My question is: When I quite using Apple ]['s in about 1989, Proterm was
the hot com package.  Is it still the one for 8 bit Apples?  Is it still
being distributed?  If so, what version is it currently in?

I would also be interested in software suggestions with possible sources
for the other Apple ]['s I have started collecting.
