Sys 6 Sound Problem Solved!

The IIGS sound control panel problem is solved!!!  With the advice of 
The Doctor (Geoff, iigs@wam.umd.edu), I found out that my troubles in 
playing System 6 sounds were caused by keeping an old ALARM CLOCK in the 
desk accessories!  Now we're Whooshing and hsoohWing with the rest of 
you.
