Leave the thing switched off for a couple of days if you are leery of getting
zapped by stored voltages. That should give them time to dissipate. Then just
look around inside for cracks in the circuit boards or obviously displaced components.
Fix/replace what is broken, test and adjust. 
Or take it to a monitor repair shop. Less fuss and they are cheap. A$70
(US$45) is the most I've paid and that includes a 3-month warranty.
