Help!! I need some guidance :)
1) Does anyone know the e-mail address for Marek Powlowski?
He wrote a shell script that looks like proline and I want
it for my unix bbs.
2) I recently dumped my //e and got a //gs. I have a ramfast
Rev C card for my harddrive but lost my manual when I last
moved. Can anyone e-mail me what all the dip switches do?
I know I need to flip at least one to switch it from //e to
//gs mode but I dont know which one.
3) Where is the cheapest place to get a replacement battery for
a //gs?
4) Why does my mockingboard C not want to work in slot four?
I have no other cards in the system and I do set the setup
to say "slot four your card" The card will work in slot 2
and 7 but only if you run the mconfig program that comes with
with mockingboard when you buy it. The computer locks up when
I try to activate the mockingboard in any slot with ultima three
or ultima four when I turn on the music. All other mockingboard
games lock up the computer too. HELP (this thing worked great
in my //e....but I just donated that to the local elementary school)
5) Why cant I use my imagewriter II printer with my 386? I hook it upto
the com port but none of my programs under dos want to acknowledge it
exists. Under linux "echo test > /dev/ttyS0" yields nothing yet the
printer works great under the apple. I have tried all different kinds
of baud rates under linux by doing "xc -l /dev/ttyS0" and typing things
in in terminal mode to see if it would print any of it. Help
(the manual for this printer is almost worthless :-)
Any help for any of the above problems would be GREATLY appreciated!!
