Re: CDA vs. NDA vs. CDEV

NDA = New Desk Accessory, appears under the Apple Menu
CDA = Classic Desk Accessory, appears when you press OA-Control-Esc
CDEV = Control Whatever :), appears when you choose Control Panel under the
Apple Menu.

CDAs are mostly used for stuff that should be accessible in text mode or P8
also. Else use an NDA.
A CDEV is used to control certain system parameters, that is stuff that
is not supposed to be opened by the user on a regular basis should be a
CDEV. As I'm a bit foggy on the subject of CDEVs myself, you might get someone
else to explain it better :)

See above.

If you got System 6.0.1, just drag them to the System folder on your boot
disk in Finder, Finder will sort them in (that is, not always ... there's
a bug :).
NDAs and CDAs go in *:System:Desk.Accs, CDEVs go in *:System:CDevs where
'*' is your boot volume.
Hope it helps
