Mike, Jeff, many thanks for your support! Two days ago I tried to get it to
work with the PPP (scripted) layer but with no luck. Somehow it connected to
pppd on my linux machine, but it doesn't transfer the given credentials and
I can't get pppd to ignore pap/chap. I'll give it a try with a slip server
config. Also, I thought it might have something to do with the cable I use,
but I've absolutely no problem with adtpro or proterm(gs)/minicom(linux).
