Re: MultiScribe disks?
Some thoughts:
1. AppleWorks GS uses MultiScribe GS as its word processing program.
2. I stopped using MultiScribe GS years ago due to its cumbersomness.
This is another case where you just can't beat good old AppleWorks classic
for its ease of use and, if your sister is just using a word processor on a
casual basis, classic AWKS is the way to go.
3. If your sister is _really_ all bent up about not being able to use
MultiScribe GS, and get the benefits of its printing speed of about three
minutes per page (hee, hee), I'll sell you my no longer used MultiScribe,
manual and all (including a version I spent an extra ten bucks on that is
NOT copy protected).
And lastly, do as I did. Get a Panasonic KX-P1124i printer for about $250
and use classic AppleWorks. The printer has half a dozen fonts built in to
it, does a good job with its 24 pin clarity (vs. the ImageWriter II nine
pin setup). NOTE: The Panasonic will not do color.
