You can get rid of most of it by putting an earphone plug (connected to
nothing) in the built-in jack. The internal speaker is pretty superfluous
if you have a stereo card connected to some headphones and/or speakers, and
I can live without the various bleeps produced by 8-bit software. :) You
could also unplug the speaker within the case, but using the jack gives
you a reasonably easy way to turn the sound back on if you want to play
some old ][+ classic or something.

I believe this is only a problem in (some?) ROM 01's (like mine :/ ).
