I have compiled an Apple //e emulator program (ap2e) on a UNIX system,
and need to get some details about ProDos file i/o. There were hooks
in the source code to allow for copying of the emulated Apple memory
out to a UNIX file, but no source code to do this. In order for the
emulator to be of much use, I need to copy files. Can someone point
me to the appropriate ProDos technical note that explains how to read
the disk directory, and bring sections of a file into specific places
in memory? The ProDos manual that I have is non-technical, telling
me what my options are in the "FILER," nothing about how to do any
programming.
Sorry for not posting this in alt.emulators.ibmpc.apple2, but this is
a wierd conglomeration of events: a question about a system running
NetBSD UNIX on a PC clone, running an Apple emulator, being posted
through an IBM mainframe :-} .
Thanks. Jim Spath <SPA@NCCIBM1.BITNET>
