A CP/M card; it needs AE's CP/M operating system. When the CP/M disk
is booted, it will find the card and start running on the Z80. Yes,
it's an early disk operating system.

I doubt it's for color. This is most likely an 80 column text card
(perhaps more than 80 cols depending on the model). Should generally
be in slot 3.

That's interesting. Don't know what the switch would do.

Read the FAQ for this newsgroup, there're lots of ftp sites with
software that will run on your ol' ][. Sometimes, computer stores
get rid of Apple ][ software cheap (though I suppose they've long
since done so). Also, follow comp.sys.apple2.marketplace.
Occasionally games and other software compatible with the ][ appear
there. Wait for local friends and neighbors to sell their ][s...they
often are sold lock stock and barrel (software included) though I
don't suppose you'd like to collect Apples (yet).

Good luck with your new computer!
