Hmm...I thought Family Roots had a GEDCOM (not GENCOM) module for it
already, but I could be mistaken. I believe it didn't follow all the
``rules'', though.

Yes, Family Tree has the ability to read and write GEDCOM files, and
more importantly, conforms with the guidelines set up by the Latter Day
Saints genealogy organization which is keeper of the GEDCOM format.
For those of you who are curious, GEDCOM is a computer-independent file
format (based in ASCII text) that is used to store genealogical
information. In this way, you can export data from a program on one
computer and then use it on a different computer after translating the
text file.
