Nope, I use them too. It took me some games to get the hang of it
but after that I preferred them to the absolute direction keys. 
Noone else in my family liked them, though. It's quite like RPN 
vs. algebraic calculators (I love my HP 28S).

BTW, Snake Byte was the first game I ever cracked. It was fun boot-tracing
the game and NOPing the checksums Sirius put here and there through
the code. Since the whole program was loaded in memory at boot time (from
tracks 1.5 through A.5, in 4-4 format, if I remember it right... that
was long ago), it was easy to convert it to a standard DOS 3.3 file.
Two months after that, my little brother spilled hot cocoa on the
original disk. Whew!
