I'd hasten to add to this that METAL also does UUCP in a similar
fashion using a program called MTS.

MTS is a set of scripts that can be setup on a Unix site that will
download all Incoming UUCP data to the METAL system and Upload/Deliver
all outgoing Mail/Usenet posts to the appropriate locations.

On the METAL side of things, a program called UUXQT (Same as the UNIX
daemon) will process and distribute Taylor UUCP 1.04 packets.
Currently, the UUXQT program has Rmail and Rnews modules that handle
Internet E-Mail and Usenet posts.
