There must enough who do to keep these stores open and profitable.  I suspect
a majority of _new_ users and a few oldsters prefer having a face on the
other end of their business transactions, even if it costs a little more.
Then too there are the folks who demand instant gratification and aren't
willing to wait the few extra days for mail order delivery when they can get it
now! at a retail store and return it just as fast when they discover they 
don't like it.
