APDC Software List

I have received several requests for a list of available software from
the American Public Domain Club.  Here is a brief list of some of the 
software available.  If you're interested in copies of any of these
titles, send me e-mail at myoung@sempco.uucp.  I'll send you some info.

HOME & BUSINESS DISKS

100 - Apple Calculations - Fantastic shareware program that simulates a
scientific calculator.  Many valuable functions including a memory key 
to store important figures.  It's simply amazing!

101 - Conversions - A unique program that converts figures from one form 
to another.  How many centimeters go into 17.86 inches?  This conversion,
along with 220 others, can be solved in a matter of seconds.  A truly great
shareware program!  (Requires 128K)

105 - BasiCalc - Spreadsheet program that remarkably resembles the popular
VisiCalc program.  Comes with on disk instructions!

119 - Useful Stuff - Great collection of home and business programs!
Financial Programs, House Sales, Calendar, Home Mortgages, Book
Inventory, Music Indexer, and Checkbook Balance are included.

121 - Class Records - Great utility for teachers.  Helps keep track of
grades, tests, attendance, etc,.  A must for all educators! (Shareware!)

123 - Do It Yourself Business Papers - Wonderful shareware program that 
allows you to create and print your own business papers.

124 - Omnifile File Manager Ver. 3 - The best shareware data base program
we've seen.  Lightning fast!

127 - The Librarian - Organize your books with the Dewey Decimal System.
Simply mind-boggling!  (Shareware!)

128 - FreeWriter - ProDOS word processor that is much like
AppleWriter!  (Apple II+ requires paddles and lower case capabilities.
80-columns also required.)

156 - FrEd Writer - ProDOS word processor that supports both 40 and
80 column formats.

161 - Florida Report Card - Another helpful utility disk for teachers.
(ProDOS)

163 - Easy Grader - Very good utility disk for teachers at the upper 
level.  (Shareware, ProDOS)

164 - Desk Buddy - Memo Pad, Caluclator, and more.  A great PD
utility for everyone!



GAMES DISKS

104 - Gambling - Great collection of gambling games.  Includes Horse 
Race II Craps I, Keno, Poker Draw 2, Russian Roulette, Slot Machine, 
Roll Em, and Super Dice.  A must buy!

106 - Pinball Greats - Four of the best pinball games around for the
Apple II.  They include Flip It, Maxx's Madness, Super Blast, and the
Maxx Machine.  Don't pass this one up.  (Joysticks required.)

107 - Fireground - Can you put out all the fires before its too late?
Great hi-res game.  (Joysticks required.)

109 - Sports - One of the best collections of Apple Sports games!  This
package includes Horse Race III, Golf II, Baseball, and Bowling 2.  
Sports nuts will love it.

116 - Adventure - The very original text adventure program.  This is a
must for any serious text adventurist.

126 - Concierge - This is a great shareware program that simulates the
popular game of Monopoly.  Be sure to buy or be bought out!

130 - Classic Games - One of our favorites!  Includes classic Apple
games.  Lunar Lander, Sea Hunt, Hurkle, Oregon Trail, and Monster
provide hourse of fun!

134 - Cu*Bit - Great Q*Bert like game!  Just as fun as the original!

135 - Night Crawler - Fast-paced and exciting hi-res game for Apple!  
Every gamer should have one!  (Joysticks.)

138 - Mystery House - First text adventure program to also feature
graphics.  Released in 1987 to celebrate Sierra On-Line's 7th
anniversary.

140 - Albert's Arcade - Wonderful arcade games created with the
program Arcade Machine.  They include Beach Head, Westward Ho,
and Bee Crunch.  (Requires a joystick.)

141 - Fido - Wondeful hi-res fast paced space game.  (Shareware, 
Joystick required.)

143 - South Pacific Quest - Hi-res action game featured in the Pacific.
(Joystick required.)

144 - Classic Games II - Another disk of all-time greats.  Included
are Pulsar II, Olympic Pinball, and Shark Bait.  (Joystick required.)

145 - Monopoly - Wonderful color graphics version of the board game.
(ProDOS, Cannot be used with Apple II or II+)

147 - Othello - The great flip game of Othello on your Apple.  (ProDOS,
Cannot be used with the Apple II or II+)

152 - Columns - A very good game that resembles the popular block game of
Tetris.  (Shareware, ProDOS, not for II+)

157 - Flobynoid - Another great game that resembles the classic Pong-like
game of Breakout.  Great graphics.  (Requires joystick or mouse.)

170 - Classic Games III - Includes Eliza, Dive Bomber, and HorseRace.  
(ProDOS)

173 - Stock Market - Great simulation game of the stock market.  
(ProDOS, 80 columns required.)

 

EDUCATION DISKS

102 - Algerbra Applications - Great program that gives almost any 
algebra answer you need.  Solves simultaneous equations, quadratic 
equations, slope, plus data on Sin, Cos, and Tan in over 60 different
forms!  Fantastic sharewrare!

103 - Geometry Applications - Find area, perimeter, circumference, or
volume of over 10 different objects!  Find parts of triangles and 
midpoints in a plane!  (Shareware!)

110 - Education 1 - A great collection of math programs.  Includes 
Multiply-Bingo, Fraction Practice, Math Tac Dough, Math Drill, Factor,
Speed Math, Equations, and Geometric Figures.

111 - Education 2 - Wonderful collection of educational programs!
This set includes Typing, Electing the President, Geography, President
and V.P. Quiz, German, Balloons, Taxman, and ABC Order.

112 - Education 3 - More great software.  Includes Speed Reading,
Word Power, Sequences, States, Zap, Memory Game, Vocab, and Spelling
Test.

113 - Education 4 - 25 various math program.  All increase in difficulty
as you go from 1 to 25.

137 - All About Apples - Very good info disk that covers many topics
related to the Apple, especially DOS.

139 - Apple Tutorial - Another helpful Apple info disk.  BASIC is
heavily covered.

151 - Wes Burgess Stat Pack - A series of stat programs for your Apple.

168 - Tech Tidbits 1 - A set of text files that provide helpful info on 
your Apple.  Inlcudes file reader.  (ProDOS)

169 - Tech Tidbits 2 - The second set of text files on your Apple.  Also
includes a file reader.  (ProDOS)



UTILITIES DISKS

115 - Utilities 1 - One of the best collections of Apple utilties!
Joystick Test, Diskette Test, DOS Utility #1, and Disk Map will help
you a great deal!

122 - Diversi-Copy - Format and copy disks in a matter of seconds.  This
shareware program handles DOS 3.3, ProDOS, PASCAL, and CP/M formats!

132 - Menu Examples - Fantastic collection of menus that you can use
in your own software.  Ingenious!

133 - Hello Examples - Creative and colorful collection of programs that
can be used when booting up!  Super!

136 - Print Shop Lovers Utility Set - Great disk that uses Print Shop
graphics to make envelopes, labels, bookmarks, and more.  Requires a
Print Shop graphics disk.

148 - Utilities 2 - Another good set of copying utilities for your Apple.

149 - Utilities 3 - The third set of utilities.  Includes Columnist and
Disk Labeler. (Shareware, ProDOS)

150 - Yo Yo Duck Diagnostic - A very good diagnostic disk to check your
Apple's hardware.  (Shareware, ProDOS, Not for II+)

153 - Super Selector - Very nice launcher program for ProDOS.  Gives
your IIc and IIe an Apple IIgs-like appearance.  (ProDOS, Not for II+)

158 - Shrink It - File compression and decompression program for IIc,
IIc+, enhanced IIe, and IIgs.  (Shareware,  ProDOS)

159 - Shrink It II+ - The compress and decompress program for II+ and
unenhanced IIe.  (Shareware, ProDOS)

162 - Catalog Inventory - Catalog all your disks with the ease and
quickness of your Apple.

165 - Sneeze - This program is a program launcher, text file
reader, a graphics viewer, and much more.  (ProDOS, not for II+)

166 - Utilities 4 - This disk includes SoftWorks - a utility to create
AppleWorks-like menus, and Dogpaw - a text and AppleWorks file reader.  
(Both require 80 columns.  ProDOS)

171 - Angel - This utility uncompresses files that were compressed with 
the various methods used by IBM computers.  This is helpful in reading
those text files.  (80 columns, no II or II+, ProDOS)

172 - Telecommunications 1 - This disk includes Comm System - an 
excellent terminal program for Hayes-compatible modems and Binscii - 
a program which converts files from text form to ProDOS form.  Docs are
included.  (ProDOS)



GRAPHICS DISKS

108 - Dr. Cats's Graphcis Disk - 15 wonderful graphics demonstrations.  

120 - Print Shop Graphics - Over 80 graphics for Print Shop.  
Pictures range from Beetle Bailey to Broom Hilda.

125 - Santa's Workshop - Wonderful Christmas story told with amazing
hi-res graphics.  Also included is a program that plays various 
Christmas songs!  Great shareware program for the holidays!

129 - Delta Drawing Today Demo Disk - Demo disk of the popular 
program.

142 - Twas the Night Before Christmas - Wonderful graphics Christmas 
story.

167 - Graphics 1 - This disk includes IIGIF - which turns GIF files into 
hi-res pictures, Boing Demo - a popular Amiga demo, and Reddy Demo - a 
demo of a first aid program. (ProDOS)



MISC. DISKS

118 - Weird Stuff - 5 strange and unusual program!  Included are Freud,
Openness Test, Booze N You, Biorhythm, and Happy Birthday!

154 - Beagle Bros Demo Disk - Wonderful demo disk of many of the Beagle 
Bros commercial software packages.

155 - Electric Duet - The great once-commercial now public domain music
program.  Wonderful to the ears!

160 - PD Graphics - A collection of graphics programs that are very
eye-appealing.
