More on Hard Drive
Many thanks to those who suggested ways to execute copy-protected IIe
programs from floppys on an HD-equipped machine. Here's another
question.
The machine is an enhanced IIe with a Quality Computers IDE drive (40
Mbytes) which is partitioned into /HD1 and /HD2. PRODOS is installed on
/HD1. The FILER cannot find both partitions at the same time. It sees
only one or the other. If it sees /HD1, I can coax it into recognizing
/HD2 in one way or another, but when I list volumes on line, it then
sees only /HD2. Is there something wrong with the format? I don't
have anything (useful) on HD2 and have backed up most everything on
HD1. Should I "make" a partition named HD2 in slot #7/drive #2? Will
this re-format the entire drive?
Finally, in order to consume less net bandwidth, what pubs should I
be reading?
Thanks,
_Brint
