Ran on to some salve for _my_ understanding of the demise of the Apple II
line just this week.  Was channel hopping (have cable) and ran on to the
JONES COMPUTER NETWORK (on local channel 5 - which is not listed in the
local TV guide).  Being presented was a one hour session on MAC soft and
hard ware.

Helped me understand the point that there would be no good business reason
to offer all the fancy bells and whisteles shown on the TV show for both
the MAC and the Apple II (GS?).
