You will be shown a list of the current drive assignments for the PCT.
You need to set up the MSDOSVOL file as the PC Transporter's hard
drive (C, or preferably D if you have PC Transporter software version
2.0 or later).

You can then use the "Reboot and Run PC Transporter" option in the main
menu to restart the PCT.

The MSDOSVOL file supplied with the PC Transporter doesn't include the
operating system, so you'll have to boot from a floppy (unless you
made MSDOSVOL the D: drive, and still have a working hard drive image
file on C:).

Once you get into MS-DOS, you copy the utility programs from the small
hard drive (C: or D:), to a floppy or another hard drive (if you've
set one up). You can then go back into the control panel and stop
the small MSDOSVOL file from being the hard drive.

If you are creating your own hard drive file, make sure you don't
overwrite the MSDOSVOL file supplied with the PCT. Put your hard drive
on a different disk (though you can use the same filename, if you
like). Always work from backup copies of the software supplied with
the PC Transporter.

If you have any further questions about the PCT, feel free to E-mail
me, or post them here on comp.sys.apple2.
