Sounds just like the problem I had with trying to get a 52 mb Quantum in a
PCPI Mac Bottom external case. Brain dead partitions and unrecognizable in
the finder. I'll bet that there is no terminator power on the drive and that
is causing it. The fix is to get an external case wired to let the drive
provide terminator for the bus.
