Another buzzing IIgs

My ROM 1 IIgs has been sounding bad right after powerup, too.  It started 
about two weeks ago with a buzz that lasted just a few seconds, then died 
away.  Now its a little louder, and it lasts 3-4 minutes.  Strangely, the 
noise stops whenever there's any disk activity.  Also, it is independent of my
volume setting.  Self-test reports system good.

At first I thought it was coming from my power supply.  I disconnected
everything and lifted the power supply out of its socket, to discover that
the source was my speaker.  Does that mean that all that noise is also going
through the motherboard?

What do you think?  Power supply is my guess.  Is there a simple and cheap fix?
Is this so serious that I should leave the power off?
