Re: DOS 3.3 Nibble Encoding
I have, after thinking about it a while, decided to render an apology
to everyone who has been sending me e-mail and/or posting on this
subject. I believe that, because of the way in which I look at things,
a misunderstanding has occurred. Further, I believe that this
misunderstanding has caused confusion with others who are attempting
to help with the original question about DOS 3.3 Nibble Encoding. I am
sorry about any kind of confusion it has generated. It was not my
intention to do so.
The original question to which I responded was that someone had posted
a message which read something like: "I don't see why anyone says that
track 0 sector 0 is special." That is what I was attempting to answer.
To me, track 0 sector 0 is special for the reasons given in the previous
posting. Others may not look at it in this manner. That is fine with
me. I have no problems with that. Hopefully, others do not have a
problem with how I look at things either. It may be different, but
that is just how I see things. It works for me and so I'm happy.
So again, I am sorry for the confusion. Especially to David with
whom I have been talking about this a lot.
Later. :)
