With 1mb cache, you can see speed boost two ways.
1. If your HD is very fast, and currently is reach a bottleneck; your HD
's tranfer rate is so high that 256k cache gets filled easily.
2. If the application your running can find what it's looking for in the
cache. RF's cache isn't really smart, it basically just keep a copy
of data around.
In anyway, 1mb cache isn't too big of a deal... Save the ~$35 for some
thing else...

You won't see speed boost like that... At best you can shave couple of
seconds off. A fast accelerator will help more.
