I just bought a ROM 1 GS (see previous post). One of the main
reasons I bought it was to be able to do some video production
without dropping a lot of money. I work at a school and want to
produce some informational and promotional videos on site. I'm
currently using VHS format, but am open to suggestion. The main
things I think I would like to do would be editing, scrolled titling,
and possibly transitions (fades, wipes, etc.).
I've heard that the GS with a Video Overlay Card is a good video
tool. Is that true? Will the VOC do what I want it to? What is the
VOC capable of?
What hardware would be needed besides the VOC, GS, and VCR?
What software is needed (or nice to have) for use with the VOC?
What would be a good price for a used VOC? Where would I find one?
What questions do I need to be asking that I don't even know about
yet?
I would be very interested in corresponding (throught e-mail or here
in this newsgroup) with anyone who has experience with GS video
production.
Thanks in advance.
