I traced through the code with Splat (blatant plug).  JD's Init routine
and AcceptRequests procedure executed without crashing.  Control returned
to the main program, which froze a few seconds later.  I don't know how
I can fix this problem, since I can't point to a definite cause.

Could JD's use of a SystemEvent patch result in incompatibilities with
GNO? (just a guess)
