1) The original Parallel Printer Interface Card (PPIC). I have the
genuine manual (but not the card) for this which includes a circuit
and ROM listing. I also have what appears to be a clone of this card
but its code does not match that in the listing. This would be
unsurprising were it not for the fact that Apple Pascal's driver
for the Parallel Printer card would not work with the code given
in the manual but would work with the clone card ($c1c1 bit 7 does
not differ in the listing between the busy and non busy code sections
in the listing [c1c1 = 90 and c181 = 90]).
Does anyone have a genuine PPIC and does it match the code in the
manual?
2) What were the Centronics Card and Parallel Interface Card (PIC) and
how did they differ from the PPIC?
3) Between the Communications Interface Card (CIC) and the Super Serial
Card (SSC) Apple released one (or two?) serial cards called the
(High Speed) Serial Card. What type of ACIA did they use and what
functions did they have (baud rates, commands etc) and were there
two or only one?
4) Does anyone have a time line showing all the Apple ][ hardware
products that were released by Apple (from the Apple ][ itself
to the Superdrive Controller Card) listing when released, functions
provided and standards set (ie SSC set Pascal 1.1 interface standards).
