Greetings,
I have two different ways now to print in an emulator with Publish It!
Hugh Hood was nice enough to supply me with a modified LaserPrep file
for Publish It! that makes it possible to print from an emulator. The
only down side is that you can only use fonts that can be replaced
with Postscript fonts, since you print to a file and then use
something like MacGhostView to print out the file.
More importantly I've been in touch with Gerard Putter, author of
Virtual II, and he has been kind enough to come up with an updated
version of Virtual II that works correctly with Publish It!,
especially version 4. With the new version, 6.3.5, of Virtual II you
can use any and all fonts that come with Publish It!, plus GS fonts
that version 4 can use, to make your document look the way you want.
Then simply tell the program to print your document and Virtual II
will output a PDF of your document. Of course you need to set up
Publish It! to use either an Epson MX or Apple Imagewriter so you can
print out what you created.
Gerard did great work getting Virtual II to work correctly with
Publish It! and I'd like to thank him for his quick response to my
problem and tireless efforts to get the program to work right. Thanks
again Gerard!
Dean
