apple vs. c64

Didn't the 64 use the supposed successor to the 6502, the 6510? I also
remember it had a mirror of rom in ram you could play with. Anyhow,
I cam to the Apple through the Atari 400, another great 6502 machine.
The Apple was simply the best design around the 6502. The slots where
obviously unbeatable for upgrading. Also, the introduction of 80cols
and more memory did wonders. Of course I could talk about the power
of the 68000 cpu or the 80486ex. But really, if you want to type a
letter do you need to do it at 50mhz?
