Take a small screwdriver and pry off the space bar. There's a little white
plastic thing that is sticking out of the space below the spacebar. That's
the switch. If you can press it and the //c "spaces", just pop the little
metal things in the slots provided and push the spacebar back down onto the
keyboard. If the switch doesn't work, well, we'll go into that later. But
try removing the bar and cleaning it out, and reassembling it...
