TransWarp Hangups
Re: My previous post about my TransWarp hanging on startup.
I pulled all the cards out of my //e leaving only the TransWarp card. It
behaves exactly the same as before: goofy checkerboard screen (or garbage
in one case) until I press CTRL-<reset>. Then the TW starts up and runs
fine.
This seems to indicate that something on the card is flaky. I did notice that
one of the PALs on the TW gets quite warm after running only a short while
(about 1 minute).
Right now, I'm running the machine with only the TransWarp, CardZ180, and
RAMFast/SCSI cards installed to see if the system will restart more readily
if it hasn't been loaded as much as it was before.
Can anyone offer any further suggestions toward getting the TW to start up
by itself, like it should?
Thanks.
