My TWGS isn't working correctly, and I don't know the cause. AE says
they'll fix it for less than $100. The local dealer says they'll fix it at
$29.95 per 1/2-hr + parts. I have two questions:
1) Do I have any other options for getting it fixed?
2) If I don't, which of the above two is the better deal?
Also, the TWGS is an older model running at 6.25 MHz (I never sent in my
registration with the 7 MHz upgrade offer).
So question #3:
Assuming it's fixable, is my card still a candidate to be souped up to
speeds of 10 MHz and higher?
And finally, given the expense of everything I've mentioned, would it just
be cheaper to by a 10 MHz Zip & leave the TWGS in it's anti-static bag?
Thanks,
Nandu
