StyleWriter II

A friend of mine has a StyleWriter II on her Mac Performa. I love the results
that it prints, and I was wondering if anyone tried it on a IIgs. I would
like to use it with Appleworks 3.0 (I never got Appleworks GS). I know that
GSOS 6.0 has a Stylewriter driver, but am I going to get any improvement over
my Imagewriter II?

Also, is there a word processing program available (preferably shareware)
that is similar to something on the order of WordPerfect for Windows or MS
Word, or something on that order? I love Appleworks 3.0 dearly, but I kind of
got spoiled over the summer using WordPerfect for Windows 5.2 at work: I
loved the results it gave.
