Greetings fellow Apple //'ers

I have a few questions I hope someone can help me with:

1. A few months ago (before I lost my c.s.a2 access :(, I posted a request
   for help with using high-speed modems on standard //e's. I received a
   number of replies, but all seemed to be from people who had _zipped_ //e's
   saying they could do it on their. What I want to know is: has anyone used
   a 9600 baud or higher modem on an _unzipped_ //e (with ProTerm 3 or
   similar)?

2. I am trying to get started programming in HyperC, and I was wondering
   if there are any decent libraries out there for ftp. At the moment I have
   HGRlib and SystemMaker - what I really would like is a Double-HiRes library.
   Are there any other decent utilities out there?
