I tried one of those last year, but found the picture to shimmer too
much between movement, so just bear that in mind. I saw that happen

a number of LCDs i tried. The Samsung 22inch T200HD worked a treat
(with a slightly mod to the standard VintageWare cable), so not sure
if that model is available in USA...though i found the screen to be
too big for GS and was too expensive

I use a Samsung Syncmaster 940MW 19" wide screen with SCART (It is,
or was, available in the USA also) with the VintageWare cable. The
screen has no shimmer but I do get a slight "ghosting" effect
around letters, etc. in SHR mode.
