Me and few other guys on c.s.a2 all have Zoom's VX, or VFX ( with fax ). And
we are all happy with it. There were horrible stories about older Zoom's
( I think the old ones with square-ish corners ), but these new Zoom seems
pretty good in quality. I also think these newer Zoom looks better than
most modems out there.
One of those PC magazines had a modem test, and while the Zoom didn't come
out of the very top ( some expansive Motorola modem did ), it did finish
quite well ( in all catagories ).
See if it's possible you can buy a Mac packaged one, then it should include
a standard Mac hardware handshaking cable, and that will work.
